Sue's passion is bringing safe, high-quality care to others. She is inspired by the teamwork, servant leaders and shared goals at St. Francis and great outcomes for patients. She brings with her 34 years of nursing skill and 24 years of leadership experience. Sue oversees several areas including the medical-surgical unit, special care unit, Family Birth Place, surgery, respiratory therapy, sleep center, pharmacy, emergency and urgent care, cancer center, hospital based clinics, nursing education, quality and patient safety and staffing office. She began her career after obtaining her bachelor's degree in nursing from Winona State University and pursued her masters in nursing administration from University of Minnesota. She is also certified in executive nursing practice. Sue is a member of Minnesota Organization of Leaders in Nursing and the American Organization of Nurse Executives. Sue is active in gardening, boating, fishing and serves the community through her work at her church.
