Mike has been the president at St. Francis since February of 2014. In this role, he is responsible for the management of the entire organization, ensuring the success of strategy and vision, culture, mission, quality and safety, operations, and finance within the hospital. Mike was drawn to St. Francis' mission, faith based approach, passion and drive of staff, and one of a kind culture. He has more than 20 years of healthcare management experience. Prior to joining St. Francis, he was the Vice President of Operations of Acute Care for HealthEast Care System where he oversaw operations at Woodwinds, St. Joseph and St. John Hospitals. Mike received his bachelor of science in exercise physiology from Winona State University and acquired his MBA from Eastern Michigan University and Metropolitan State University. Mike's civic and community involvement includes a long list of organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Planning Committee of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, the Minnesota Hospital Association Policy and Advocacy Committee and the Saints Foundation Board of Directors. He is also active in his children's sports and is a soccer coach for the Maplebrook Soccer Association. When not with family or working, you can find Mike running towards his goal of completing a marathon in every state, cardo kickboxing or coaching club soccer.
