Meet your precious baby before its due date!
The St. Francis Regional Medical Center diagnostic imaging department is pleased to offer 3-D nondiagnostic ultrasounds to patients for keepsake fetal portraits.
The 30- to 45- minute exam includes:
The quality of fetal portraits varies depending on many factors. If we are unable to acquire quality pictures of your baby, you may return for one additional session at no additional charge.
The St. Francis radiology department will not perform the study unless you have received a 20-week fetal anatomy survey at St. Francis or Park Nicollet – Shakopee.
The preferred gestational age for fetal portraits is between 27 and 32 weeks. At this stage, amniotic fluid levels are optimal and the fetus has adequate body fat and tissue.
All 3-D ultrasound exams are performed by registered diagnostic sonographers working in the radiology department at St. Francis Regional Medical Center.
Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sunday: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Elective 3-D exams are self-pay, meaning they are not billable through insurance. We accept cash or credit card only—no checks. The cost of the exam is $200.
