St. Francis Children’s Care

We care for children, newborn through 18 years, who come to the hospital for common illnesses, such as asthma, the flu and respiratory viruses. We also help children recover from minor injuries; routine ear, nose and throat procedures; orthopedic and minor abdominal surgeries; and other procedures.

We work with Children’s Hospitals and Clinics, the largest pediatric care organization in the upper Midwest, to operate our pediatric unit. The unit includes a playroom with activities, toys and games that make the hospital a friendly, comfortable place for children and their families.

Our pediatric staff includes specially trained nurses and certified nursing assistants. All hospital staff members receive education in child development. This helps everyone meet the unique needs of our pediatric patients and their families.
