Balance & Vestibular Therapy
There are three main components in the body that are responsible for balance:
- Vestibular (inner ear).
- Visual (sight).
- Somatosensory (muscles, joints and nerves).
Imbalance or dizziness occur when one of more or these three systems becomes dysfunctional, sending inaccurate information to the brain.
Through extensive studies and research, exercise and positional treatments have been found to be highly effective at treating problems and alleviating symptoms.
Our physical therapists are trained to evaluate patients with vestibular diagnoses and direct their recovery of fitness, balance, and dizziness deficits. We will help develop a customized treatment plan to help patients achieve their highest level of function.
