St. Francis Regional Medical Center Foundation

St. Francis Foundation Program Overview

The St. Francis Foundation, a 501c3 charitable, non-profit institution, was founded in 1982 by the Franciscan Sisters as the fundraising organization for St. Francis Regional Medical Center. In 1988, it became an associated Foundation of the Benedictine Foundation, Inc. The mission of the St. Francis Foundation is to "support St. Francis Regional Medical Center and to enhance the healing experience in the communities we serve."

By leading the way in community philanthropy, the Foundation continues to support St. Francis as one of the best community hospitals in the nation. Providing strategic direction, the Foundation guides philanthropic efforts which address immediate, intermediate and long-term needs of patients, their families and communities served by St. Francis Regional Medical Center.

The Foundation is committed to maximizing giving by: Increasing community awareness of opportunities to donate and the essential role philanthropy plays in meeting critical community health care needs; connecting donors’ passions with hospital needs; and assisting donors with a variety of gift options such as appreciated securities, cash, and in-kind donations.

St. Francis benefits from a distinct position: It is owned by three providers—a position held by few medical centers nationally. The unique qualities and competencies contributed by the Benedictine Health System, Park Nicollet Health Services and Allina Hospitals & Clinics are immeasurable.
